Every FirstShift engagement is a real project for a real registered firm. When a candidate presents one of our letters, the employer can call the firm and the firm will confirm the engagement. That is the difference between a real internship and a certificate mill.
We do not confirm employment, because this was not employment. We confirm the project engagement, the dates, and that the firm reviewed the work. That is honest and it is exactly what BGV teams need.

You are matched to a real registered Indian firm, you do a real brief from that firm, their team reviews your work against a published rubric, and you only get a certificate and experience letter if your work meets the bar. The letter is on the firm letterhead. If an employer calls the firm to verify, the firm confirms the project engagement.
Which company will I work for?
We work with a small set of real registered Indian firms and match you to the right one for your role. We do not list the firms publicly, to keep them from being flooded with cold requests. Once you apply and pay month 1, we introduce you to your matched firm by name.
Can I do a role that is not listed on the site?
Yes. The tracks on this site are examples. On the apply form you pick a category and tell us the specific role you want. If we can host it with one of our firms, we will. If we cannot, we tell you honestly and refund month 1.
I have a career break or gap. Can you help?
Yes. We specifically support people returning to work after a break. You get a real, recent, dated engagement on your resume, an experience letter on a firm letterhead, and a verifiable reference. Check the career-break option on the apply form.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies by role category. Entry-level roles like marketing and social media start at Rs. 699 for month 1; technical roles like software engineering, data analyst, and UX research start at Rs. 1,499 for month 1. Each additional month is billed separately with your opt-in. Pick a duration from 1 to 12 months when you apply. No placement fees, no hidden charges. Cancel any month, no questions.

Yes. If an employer calls the firm on the letter to verify your engagement, the firm confirms it. This is a real project engagement with a real registered firm, not a certificate mill, so it holds up to verification.
Is the internship remote?
Yes. All engagements are fully remote. You start any day, work on your own schedule, and stay as long as you choose. There are no fixed hours and no batch deadlines.
